Day-to-day, you'll be...

  • Building and maintaining high-quality relationships with hotel guests & corporate clients staying with us and using our meeting facilities
  • Training up your staff to deliver a high standard of friendly and personalized service to guests
  • Managing daily F&B operations of the restaurant, bar and banqueting
  • Soliciting guest feedback
  • Using that feedback to help us improve our F&B operation
  • Improving the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for your areas of responsibility

This role requires:

The Regional Framework for Action on Food Safety in the Western Pacific was endorsed by the Western Pacific Regional Committee in 2017. The framework provides strategic guidance and a stepwise approach to strengthen national food safety systems.

Food safety systems in the Western Pacific Region are at various stages of development, and countries have different means to address food safety issues. Hence, efforts to strengthen food safety must be tailored to specific country needs and priorities, and the correct timing for interventions must consider political momentum, resource availability, country commitments, and public support.

Recognizing the diversity of food safety systems across the Western Pacific Region, the Regional Framework for Action on Food Safety in the Western Pacific promotes a stepwise approach to guide the strategic actions of Member States to strengthen food safety systems. The stepwise approach aims to guide national food safety authorities to establish and strengthen food safety systems as comprehensive and unified entities consisting of interacting and interdependent components. The stepwise approach can help countries to prioritize interventions as well as to improve the effectiveness of investments in food safety systems.

The Western Pacific Region is vulnerable to disasters and emergencies. Food safety incidents and emergencies are diverse and may be defined and responded to differently according to the capacity of a country’s food safety system. National food safety systems are critical to manage food safety incidents and emergencies and it is important that food safety authorities identify their specific role and responsibility in the investigation and response to food safety incidents and emergencies and collaboration with partners accordingly.

The Regional Framework for Action on Food Safety in the Western Pacific, For the Future

Towards the Healthiest and Safest Region, and the Asia-Pacific Strategy for Emerging Diseases and Public Health Emergencies (APSED III) should also be used as reference. Under the supervision of the Food Safety Technical Officer (FOS/DSE), the consultant will be responsible for delivering the following: Output 1: Multisectoral roadmap for Safer Traditional Food Markets in Asia Pacific Region

Experience: Essential: At least 05 years of experience in the field of food safety, combined at the national and international levels in supporting strengthening of food safety systems, particularly working with traditional food markets.

Desirable: Experience in developing countries. Relevant work experience in WHO, other UN agencies, non-governmental agencies or humanitarian organizations.

Technical skills and knowledge

(1) Experience in project management

(2) Knowledge on international food safety requirements and recommendations including Codex Alimentarius

The Supervisor is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Supervisor position provides an enjoyable, expertly served beverage or dining experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness. Supervisors anticipate and service guests needs before being asked and are knowledgeable about all available menu options, beverage lists and daily specials.

We are looking for an individual who poses an affinity for guest service! This position requires an applicant with a high level of wine and food knowledge. Candidates must have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. The ability to perform this position to Four Seasons Standards and learn the Sequence of Service is required. Candidates are also required to perform additional side work, greet and seat guests in the absence of the hostess, take reservations and have the ability to use the Micros Operating System. The Supervisor position requires the ability to lift up to 60lbs and applicants must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request!

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

  • The ability to utilize the hotel’s computer system ringing up sales, printing checks,closing checks and completing reading.
  • The ability to carry trays, bus and reset table with linen, china, glass and silver.
  • The ability to change ashtray, serve cigarettes, crumb tables and offer after dinner drink and cigars.
  • The ability to ascertain a guest’s satisfaction and handle any problem which may arise informing a manager of the problem and how it was resolve.
  • The ability to handle a guest walk out.
  • The ability to service all needs for any private dining room or private function.
  • The ability to report any accident immediately, no matter how minor to a manager.
  • The ability to recognize and address potential intoxicated disruptive or undesirable guests.
  • The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • The ability to move tables and chairs.
  • The ability to breakdown any buffets, displays or side stations when needed.
  • The ability to clean service area when needed.
  • The ability to clean the terrace and the area surrounding it when needed.
  • The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management.
  • Candidates must speak read and write Bahasa Malaysia as well as being fluent in English. Must have the right to work in Malaysia.

The brand's "Brand Attitude" interior elements need to be integrated with the "Brand Attribute", an external impact as a drive to the "Brand Soul" target point to make Hotel Seri Malaysia a "COMFORT" accommodation. This re-branding program is to gain "Market Credibility" and "Guest Satisfaction" for The Hotel.
