Mechanical Engineering Plumbing (MEP)

Job Desc:

  • Review plans and specifications according to the plan
  • Prepare plans, details, specified and cost estimated mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
  • Analyze mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing engineering problems and formulate solutions
  • Identify problems in design, plan, manage and deliver multiple projects
  • Plan, organize the review and evaluate the work of consultants, contractors, and others.
  • Prepare and deliver effective oral presentations whenever required
  • Continually review the contractor's construction schedule during the progress of the site works with regards to MEP services and report to the project manager / related manager.
  • Manage the day to day work of the MEP team
  • In Conjunction with the document controller, ensure that the filing/logging of the MEP documentation is undertaken in line with the project handbook and continually monitor the same.
  • Review the Contractor's installation method statements
  • Attend project, site progress and any mechanical services related technical meetings as directed by the Project Manager.

Qualification:

  • Age max 40yo
  • Mechanical or Electrical Degree with minimum 5 years experience in the same field.
  • Working knowledge of plans, prints, specifications, and schematics associated with trade.
  • Can work under pressure and diligent
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Understanding of ISO & OHSAS and able to implemented in the project
  • Good computer skills and fluently in English will be a plus.

  • Identify and establish training programmes with the training department to improve the operational readiness for production personnel.
  • Lead a group of PM and Process teams to accomplish projects assigned.
  • Ensure safety and housekeeping at work area.

  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical & Electronic/Mechanical or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the related field, preferably in the manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrates strong planning and organising skills.

• Manage operating costs and improve service levels by leading and participating in energy management and plant improvement projects

Job Description:-
  • Understanding of effective electrical system to sustaining the functionality of asses and equipment modification / upgrade.
  • To provide frequent routine maintenance to prolong smooth functionality of electrical system.
  • Close partnership with inter department to provide good communication required / production priority and urgency.
  • Ensures that healthy and safety system of work are maintained and that all possible steps are taken to prevent accidents and minimize hazards to occupational health.
  • Implements schedules preventive maintenance and controls of electrical system to meet target set and Food Safety Standards.
  • Administer and co-ordinate maintenance of all centralized facilities such as fire fighting systems, compress air system, office building facilitates and etc and organize the maintenance activity and maintain at all time the electrical equipments such as electrical motor, transformer, switchboards/gears, earthing system, ups, PABX, etc and diagnostic equipment, in conjunction with instrument and mechanical maintenance staff to ensure maximum in-house maintenance and repair capability to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Evaluate and certify that all work performed by contractor under area of supervision is executed in accordance with contractual requirements and compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Responsible for coordinating and safely leading a team of Technicians who will carry out the maintenance of all electrical equipments.
  • Responsible for monitoring equipment maintainability necessary to meet production objectives.
  • Responsible for the control of the maintenance budget assigned to his section.
  • To involve in disciplinary handling and recommendation related to subordinates performance management. 
  • To perform other related duties assigned from time to time, in alignment to company’s goal and objectives.
Requirements:-
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Candidates with any related license at Suruhanjaya Tenaga/ Chargeman competency are preferred.
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Fresh graduates will be considered
  • Prefer candidates who familiar with plc programming, control panels design/ installation and schematic drawings.

Your responsibilities
  • Leads the region Business Development & Application Engineering activities related for the TCS portfolio, understand the Market Trends, and secure the anticipated growth impact.
  • Develop and implement KPI’s and targets for TCS portfolio in coordination with Hub Sales Managers and TCS Direct Sales Teams, to track sales, providing visibility of prospects, quotations and orders achieved.
  • The metrics for her/his performance review might be based on the number of customer’s technical presentations she/he will be giving and on the “changes” introduced in the technical specifications.
  • Ensure that all opportunities, quotations and orders are properly introduced in SFDC by the M&S team of the Hub. Provide training if necessary and follow up in a monthly base.
  • The Application Engineer should have a deep understanding of all BU PGTR TCS portfolio for different segments and applications. She/he supports from a technical knowledge point of view the WCFE Team for the Marketing and Sales activities of the HUB and represents the interests of the GPG/BU in the given Country/Region.
  • Cover certain markets by interacting with existing Customers (not only End-Users, but higher focus on Transformer OEMs), as well as with “Customers we aspire to have” by providing appropriate technical support (ideally influencing technical specifications at early stage, i.e. when there is no RFQ out) while reinforcing product applications positioning.
  • Carry out technical meetings at early stage and organize the preliminary technical discussions with local Customers focused on specific topics to be held by her/him or more-detailed technical workshops.
  • Provide to the GPG and the GPMM Customer’s feedbacks as well as strategic marketing inputs to support the market analysis validation and competitive landscape and heat maps.
  • The TCS Application Engineer is expected to follow a structured market plan combining the technical info gathered with customers while deploying a strategic overview mindset.

Your background
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical roles and/or Product Marketing, Sales and Business Development.

  • Minimum tertiary education background in BS degree (Electrical Engineering) from an accredited university. A Master’s degree in B2B Marketing is a plus.
  • Intercultural sensitiveness is required, with good communication skills in oral and written, with colleagues from multi-countries for assigned region. The person had better have global experience in the past and a strong grasp of the English language.
  • Be willing to travel > 40% of her/his time.
